  1. That is great!! I am too far away to attend his class so I bought the video and downloaded and read the PDF file. I had a huge crop of cucumbers and tomatoes.
  2. DH has agreed and we are going to take one of his classes in the next few weeks! I am quite excited about it!
  3. That is great that you got to meet him. I have talked to his staff a couple of times and they were real nice. I had emailed Len a couple of times and he was very nice and helpful. I would love to have more of the raised beds but I don't have the space. If I lived out in the country I would have more of these beds thats for sure. The least labor intensive garden I have ever done.
  4. Hey elittle! DH and I got to meet Mr. Pense and his wife at a farm show in Springfield, Mo. I really want to take a spring class. Very nice people!
  5. Yes it did...I called and got the basic formula for his growing media and it is like he describes, holds moisture well, doesn't let the water pool up, and is very loose which makes it easier for roots to grow. I hardly had to weed, most of my time was spent pruning and watering. Any weeds that did sprout were easily pulled up. See some pics of my garden in the "garden pic thread". Best harvest of green beans ever and the same goes for green onions and tomatoes... I'll send you a PM with all the details on the soil and what not tomorrow.
  6. Thanks for the link! I had no idea there was anything like that around here. DH and I are thinking about going. Has it worked well for you?
  7. Have you heard of Len Pense - www.gardeningrevolution.com? He has a place down in the Ozarks...Pensadora Farm Strafford, Mo.

I did a raised bed based off his system...I had to buy the components for the soil separately because the shipping cost would have made this prohibitive if I had bought his compost mix from one of his distributors.
