    A couple of suggestions, search the forum on whatever topic you are learning about, most likely its been talked about, if not post your question.

    Read some fiction novels about this subject: "Patriots" or "One Second After" those will help you see what all is involved and what could happen to our society. Not only is it being prepared but it is also about being self-reliant in that you have the tools and knowledge to take care of you and yours and to help/teach others. Oh and you will never know it all and whoever tells you they do is probably full of it.
