How about a synthetic folding stock for an SKS? It came on the Norinco that was given to me as a gift, I have since returned the rifle to original configuration.

rice,
i think a folding stock would get attention. bring it on...
i need:
camping cot
tools sockets, big wrenches,
pri d
generator preferring diesel or propane/ng
homestead alarm system and/or communication system
mre's
storage food.
a fellow brought a large water tank one year... i goofed by not buying it..
lol, just about everything jrh sells!!
detailed weapon maintenance manuals
looking for "how-to" manuals on just about everything
** silver is going up^^
it would be amazing what a few dimes and quarters that are pre 64 would buy at the campout.
i have trouble tracking values but today i think a pre 64 dime is worth over $2.00 and a quarter is over $5.00
an old silver dollar over $20.00
of course it's actually worth what someone is willing to give for it!!
i know i'd sure trade a $20.00 box of ammo for a silver dollar!!
and i'd trade a box and half of ammo for a $1.00 silver eagle!!
my guess is that silver will be worth more in november than now.... but who knows!??
if you've got an old sock with some old coins, bring it.
this will be fun.
for those who haven't been before..... this group has a tradition of "fair trading"
and honest representing- dealing..
getting excited about the weekend.

I have an MSR Whisperlite backpacking stove that I may be willing to trade for another stove. I like the ones with the range that screws to the fuel canister.
My whisperlite has everything except for the extra "fittings" that allow you burn the different fuels. I have only burned white gas in it, I am scared to run kerosene, gasoline and jet fuel.
Its in B+ to A- shape. I saw a guy on my last backpacking trip with a big maybe 1.5L cup that connected to his fuel can, it was seriouso. And he was eating mac and cheese on the trail like Chef Boyardee. You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Bring it brother. Nothing gets people interested in upgrading gear like camping and using their own.
Also, their is a fair amount of "freebees" at these campouts (hint hint).Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault your poor?"

I just recieved notice yesterday that I will have another commitment on Nov 17th. Please let me explain:
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1046, Jacksonville Florida, after a lot of work by one of our special members, has recieved permission from the family of Nicholas J. Cutinha to name our Chapter after him.
Nicholas was a local boy who was drafted into the Army in 1967 and went to Vietnam that same year. He was a machine gunner with 4/9 Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. He was KIA near Gia Dinh, Republic of Vietnam, 2 March 1968.
In April 1970 he was bestowed with the Medal of Honor (posthumously) by President Nixon.
Our Chapter will be having a naming ceremony Nov 17th; in attendance will be the Navy Band, Army Color Guard, local dignitaries, former POW's, various military and veteran organizations, Medal of Honor recipients, and others.
While I would like to spend time with ya'll in Douglas I believe I should be at this ceremony, standing tall and proud with my Brothers and Sisters of VVA Chapter 1046 to salute our fallen comrade-in-arms Specialist Fourth Class Nicholas J. Cutinha.
If you would like to read his Medal of Honor citation (please do) the following link will take you to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and his citation http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detai...nicholas-j.php"There is nothing so exhilarating as to be shot at without result." Winston Churchill
