Pressure problem?
I think I already know the answer to this one, but I want to get some expert opinions. I put a recoil comp on my “import” rifle. When I was resurrecting this one, I made sure that the gas ports were clean, etc. At the range, the shells ejected, but it did not **** the hammer. Manual actuation worked every time. Is the comp releasing too much gas pressure? All else looks good. I ran out of time to try it without the comp.

sounds like insufficient gas pressure to fully retract the bolt such that the hammer is not re-cocked.
Sometimes an easy fix, sometimes rather frustrating.
Good luck to ya

Problem solved. Disconnector spring was missing. I assume it wasn’t there when I got it. I found a diagram that showed it, most don’t, or don’t label it. It is a very small spring, ordered one, really cheap. I didn’t try it out but the guy I sold it to said that it works fine. On to another project.
